Celtic singer Patti Anne Lea loves to perform music from her roots – Ireland, Scotland and other Celtic lands, even ‘Amerikay.’ A lifetime of music and songwriting brings a special dimension to these ballads and airs. “It’s in my DNA,” she says. Her father was Scots-Cherokee and her mother English-Irish, tracing her family tree into the Plantagenets and Scots royalty. “You can’t hear the stories and melodies and not be moved. And the fact that they have survived for hundreds of years is a tribute to the people that have passed them down.”
Patti Anne Lea has been the featured vocalist for Shephard’s Folly since they formed in 2001, as well as heading her own band of friends and ‘Celticphiles.’ She’s opened for such super-groups as Cherish the Ladies and Solas.
Come join Patti for an evening of beautiful ballads, love songs, the ethereal, and some tom-foolery.
